EVE Frontier is a a large-scale space survival MMO set in a single-shard universe designed to evolve through user participation and continuous expansion. Players, known as Riders, awaken in a decaying region of space following a cosmic collapse and must rebuild civilization by exploring, mining, and constructing within an environment governed by consistent physical laws. The game integrates scientific modeling, survival mechanics, and community-driven development to simulate a self-sustaining digital universe. Additionally, EVE Frontier integrates blockchain technology (Sui) to record and secure game physics, DAO protocols and ownership of game-related digital assets earned or purchased by players such as NFTs and cryptocurrency ($EVE).

The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $EVE, which serves as a premium in-game currency, facilitating resource extraction by enabling the purchase of specialized tools essential for fuel production.
EVE Frontier aims to eventually release in open source. In the meantime, while ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
