War of Nova is a free-to-play competitive space 4X real-time strategy (RTS) game developed for mobile platforms (Android and iOS) by Revolving Games. The game is set in a large-scale sci-fi universe. Players assume command of powerful spacefaring factions, engage in real-time tactical battles, explore star systems, and manage economic and military resources. Blockchain Integration
As part of the RCADE ecosystem, War of Nova aims to implement a player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade various game-related digital assets (e.g. characters, spaceships, skins, land, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum and Rcade blockchains to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game integrates the $RCADE cryptocurrency as a reward token.
War of Nova is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
