Nomstead is a free-to-play casual sandbox MMORPG for PC, mobile, and web. The game integrates survival, construction, and social interaction within a persistent, player-shaped world. The game centers on territorial expansion, resource management, and collaboration, allowing participants to build kingdoms, cultivate land, and engage in an economy entirely maintained by players. Its open-ended structure emphasizes creativity and interdependence within an ever-expanding, tile-based environment. Additionally, Civitas integrates blockchain technology (Ethereum/Immutable) to record and secure ownership of optional game-related digital assets earned or purchased by players such as NFTs (e.g. land).
Game Features

Blockchain Integration
DocumentsNomstead features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade various game-related digital assets (e.g. land) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum blockchain via Immutable to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof.
Nomstead is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.

Cryptocurrency
Nomstead plans to introduce a fungible token which will serve as a medium of exchange for trading, crafting, and governance once the player-controlled, in-game economy is ready for it. In the meantime, the game features in-game currencies which may be convertible once the cryptocurrency has launched.
